Photo of the week #6 – Shanghai Pudong Library

I took a picture of this glass capsule at the Shanghai Pudong Library. Located in Pudong, the Eastern part of Shanghai, the 6-floors modern building was built in 2009. With more than 2 millions books (only in Chinese), it is one of the largest libraries in China. But the most impressive thing about this place is this hanging garden that looks like a box in the middle of the building. This place is worth a visit if you are an architecture lover!

J’ai photographié cette capsule de verre à la Shanghai Pudong Library. Située à Pudong, la partie est de Shanghai, ce bâtiment moderne de 6 étages a été construit en 2009. Avec plus de 2 millions de livres disponible (tous en chinois), il s’agit de l’une des plus grandes bibliothèques de Chine. Mais la partie la plus impressionnante de cet endroit est selon moi ce jardin suspendu, comme une boite au milieu du bâtiment. Un endroit à visiter pour tous les amateurs d’architecture !
